Karma Rivera is a rapper, producer and songwriter redefining what alt-rap looks and sounds like.

Born in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park and partially raised in the Pacific Northwest, she’s spent the past decade crafting a genre-fluid sound that blends melodic rap, Latin rhythm, and indie grit. Her music is rooted in cultural identity, lived experience, and personal resilience.

Known for her magnetic live shows and unapologetic voice, Rivera has become a standout in Portland’s music scene. This summer, she will be honored with the Trailblazer Award at the 2025 PDX Star Awards, hosted by DJ O.G One and DJ Klyph at the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts.

Her debut album drops October 2025—a fully independent release that marks the next era of an artist who’s always been ahead of the curve.
